• TRANSED
Access Exchange International is an active participant in TRANSED, the triennial series of conferences on mobility and transport for elderly and disabled people. TRANSED conferences in past years have been held in Lyon, France (1992); Reading, UK (1995); Perth, Australia (1998); Warsaw, Poland (2001), Hamamatsu, Japan (2004), and Montreal, Canada (2007). The next TRANSED will be in Hong Kong (2010).
• Washington DC Roundtable series
For the past nine years, Access Exchange International has coordinated a series of Roundtables in Washington, DC, on public transport in developing regions. AEI thanks APTA (the American Public Transportation Association) for providing facilities for the Roundtable series and ICAT (The International Centre for Accessible Transportation) for assisting AEI in underwriting the costs of the event.
